Physically challenged passengers

airBaltic is committed to the provision of a comfortable, convenient, reliable air travel service that is accessible to all of our passengers. That is why we endorse the principle that physical disability or challenge should not prohibit an individual’s use and enjoyment of air transport, unless such travel runs counter of to medical advice.

airBaltic will continuously work on improvement of accessibility of air travel to people with reduced mobility with respectful understanding and provision of the needs of such passengers.

This information is aimed at passengers who are traveling, or are planning to travel, with airBaltic and have special needs due to a physical disability or medical condition. The following guidelines are intended to welcome our physically challenged passengers to the care, comfort and safety of airBaltic service, to assist you in planning your flight with us and to help us provide the care and service that will make your flight as comfortable and safe as possible.

The document (you can download bellow) is arranged in six chapters. After this introduction you will find three chapters with general information:
Chapter 1: Planning your flight
Chapter 2: At the airport
Chapter 3: During your flight

The last three chapters give more detailed information, depending on your needs:
Chapter 4: Passengers with mobility impairments
Chapter 5: Passengers with hearing or visual impairments
Chapter 6: Passengers with special medical requirements

At the end of this information leaflet you will find the following annexes:
Annex 1: Checklist for travelers
Annex 2: A special note for travel agents

airBaltic and airBaltic partners

Some airBaltic-designated flights are operated by partner airlines. On flights operated by airBaltic*, all special care services are available as listed in this booklet. On flights operated by airBaltic partners, depending on the policy of each partner and the size of the aircraft, services normally provided by airBaltic may not be available on flights to certain destinations. Please check with your travel agent or directly with airBaltic reservations to see if all your needs can be accommodated when traveling on an airBaltic partner-operated flight with an airBaltic flight number.

*airBaltic operates Fokker 50, Boeing 737-500, Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 757-200 aircrafts.
