The agreement gives both airlines’ passengers greater access to one another’s networks. AirBaltic president Bertolt Flick commented, “We are very pleased to have renewed our cooperation with Austrian Airlines. The agreement means our passengers have a wider choice of flights to Vienna, as well as a convenient option to use Austrian Airlines’ route network to fly further.” Altogether, the airlines fly between Riga and Vienna 11 times per week. AirBaltic’s early-morning flight time means that codeshare passengers can link into the maximum number of connecting flights, opening up destinations such as Damascus, Kathmandu and Cancun, and making this the quickest way to reach Sydney and Melbourne. |
