airBaltic started operations in October 1995, exactly ten years ago. At airBaltic, we don’t reflect too much on past achievements, but rather concentrate on the challenges we are facing today and tomorrow. And there are plenty of those: fuel prices, competition, new EU plans to “balance the growth of aviation”, which essentially means to limit this growth, and finally home–grown problems as well.

SAS introduces one-way ticketing
Starting on September 1st, SAS has begun operating a one-way pricing structure on flights to all its European destinations, allowing unprecedented flexibility and choice for network users – including airBaltic passengers.

airBaltic increases flights to Ukraine
On 2nd August this year, airBaltic began non-stop direct flights to Odessa, Ukraine. Demand for tickets has been so enthusiastic that, as of 28th August, the number of flights per week has been increased from three to four.
