IOSA is the first worldwide aviation standard to include all aspects of airline operation: flight operations, quality system and maintenance and ground operations. It is recognised by all member airlines of the IATA (International Aviation Transport Association) as a benchmark for airline safety and quality achievements. At present, only about 45 airlines worldwide have been entered in the IOSA register. The IOSA programme is an internationally recognised and accepted evaluation system designed to assess airlines’ operational management and control systems. IOSA uses internationally recognised quality audit principles, and audits are conducted in a standardised and consistent manner. The programme is designed to maximise quality, integrity and security, so that mutually interested airlines and regulators can comfortably accept IOSA audit reports. As a result, the industry will be in a position to achieve the benefits of cost-efficiency through a significant reduction in audit redundancy. AirBaltic is proud to be the first airline in the region to have won acceptance into this elite club of the world’s safest airlines. We hope our passengers will share our delight. |
