Buying Tickets on the Internet Even More Secure

From September airBaltic offers clients an improved system of buying tickets on the Internet. Compared to the previous system, the new one provides everyone booking flights on the Internet automatic payment processing.

The system directly processes the client’s card data and debits the required sum from the client’s bank account. This means that flight reservation has become much more secure because client card data is processed completely automatically and no one has access to the details.

This new and secure system is certified by VISA and MasterCard. By using CVV/CVC coding, your card is protected from unauthorised use and these codes are also checked when paying for tickets. Alongside VISA, MasterCard, VISA Virtual and Visa Electron debit cards, from September clients can also use Maestro debit cards for payment.

Previously, confirmation of reservation did not mean that this really was the case. In those instances when it turned out that there were insufficient funds in the client’s account or that the card was not valid for purchases over the Internet, the reservation was cancelled. Now, however, confirmation of reservation means exactly that – the reservation has been confirmed. If for some reason a client’s card is not accepted or there are insufficient funds, for example, the client will be informed of this and the reservation will not be confirmed.
