airBaltic began operating out of Vilnius in June this year, with direct flights to Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Dublin and Copenhagen (previously Riga was the only city served by a direct airBaltic flight connection from Vilnius). Figures show that passengers in Lithuania are keen to take advantage of airBaltic’s services, because they offer cheap airfares, and the one-way ticket pricing structure – a relatively new concept in Lithuanian airtravel – has proved to be very popular among customers. As a result, from the end of this summer, airBaltic will also be launching flights from Vilnius to Helsinki, Oslo, Warsaw and Vienna, beginning on 15th August. As ever with airBaltic, customers will be delighted about the low cost of tickets: prices will start at 68 EUR one-way, including airport taxes. However, airBaltic isn’t stopping there: in the near future the airline plans to launch even more direct flights from Vilnius to European destinations. |
