The inclusion of the three Baltic states into the EU is now reality and everybody is looking towards the new opportunities this will bring for the region. airBaltic has already started to take advantage of these new market openings and will bring more flexibility and travel options to its passengers, thus becoming a true Baltic airline.

airBaltic Vilnius
From 1st June 2004 the Latvian airline airBaltic, in co-operation with the SAS Group, is starting flights from Vilnius to five European destinations, adding four more by the end of the summer. The flights will be operated by airBaltic, which will be the first airline in the Baltic states to take advantage of the opening up of the aviation market following EU accession, by launching operations from another state.

A new airBaltic ticket office in Riga's Berga Bazars
For already eight years the airBaltic city ticket office has been located on Kalku Street in Riga’ Old Town. This May, however, city ticket sales operations will be transferred to a new home right in the centre of Riga, in Berga Bazars, at 85a Elizabetes Street.

Record-breaking internet ticket sales
During April an unprecedented number of airBaltic tickets were sold over the internet – over 10,000 passengers, which is nearly 24% of all airBaltic flight tickets were bought via the airBaltic website.

When you’re heading out of the movie theatre and you cast a glance back at the screen where the film credits are still rolling, you may find yourself thinking about just how many people’s hard work has gone into producing two hours of audience entertainment. We see the actors, we know the director’s name, the more erudite amongst us may know the scriptwriter too, but all the other hundreds of people without whose efforts we would be deprived of the pleasure of the movies, go unnoticed.
