airBaltic starts flights to Tel Aviv

Riga, 16.05.2006

On 5th June member of SAS Group - Latvian airline airBaltic will commence direct flights from Riga to Tel Aviv, Israel. This will be the airlines 31st direct flight from Riga.

The President of airBaltic, Bertolt Flick, comments:  “We are very glad to be able to offer our passengers direct flights from Riga to Tel Aviav. At the moment airBaltic is the only carrier in Baltics and Scandinavia to provide direct regular service to Tel Aviv”.

Initially airBaltic will operate flights from Riga to Tel Aviv two times per week, on Mondays and Wednesdays. The flight time with Boeing 737-500 aircraft will take 4 hours 15 minutes.

The price of a one-way ticket will start at 146.00LVL (excluding airport fees).
