Baltic Outlook

June/July 2006

Editorial
During the first half 2006, we have already opened ten new destination from Riga and Vilnius. From Riga we have opened flights to Dusseldorf, Bergen, Warsaw, Simferopol as well as Baku and Tbilisi; from Vilnius we have opened Budapest, Warsaw and Dusseldorf. The demand for these new destinations fully meets our expectations. Particularly the flights to Georgia, where no visas are required for EU citizens, are developing very well.. Despite record-high fuel prices, we have been able to maintain our policy of increasing the number of flights available at very competitive prices.

However, the possibilities to travel to the CIS are limited and complicated from Scandinavia, the Baltics and the rest of Europe. Now airBaltic can offer its passengers the ease of direct flight from Riga to 30 destinations as well as a number of convenient transit flights via Riga.”
