airBaltic in May carried 32% more passengers than last year

The Latvian airline airBaltic carried 119,389 passengers in May 2006, or 32% more than in the same month in 2005, when airBaltic transported 90,189 passengers.

During the first five months of 2006, airBaltic transported a total of 497,915 passengers, or 47% more than during the same period in 2005, when the total number of passengers was 338,667.

In May, airBaltic provided 2,621 flights, or 21% more than the 2,161 flights, which were offered in May 2005. Between January and the end of May, the airline increased its number of flights by 25% over the same period in 2005 – up to 10,699 flights in all.

Cabin factor in May 2006 was at a level of 56%, or 5% points more than in May 2005. During the first five months of 2006 cabin factor was at a level of 59%, or 8% points more than during the same period in 2005.
