airBaltic in the first half of year carried 44% more passengers than last year

The Latvian airline airBaltic carried 136,786 passengers in June 2006, or 36% more than in the same month in 2005, when airBaltic transported 100,927 passengers.

During the first six months of 2006, airBaltic transported a total of 634,701 passengers, or 44% more than during the same period in 2005, when the total number of passengers was 439,604.

In June, airBaltic provided 2,655 flights, or 26% more than the 2,105 flights, which were offered in June 2005. Between January and the end of June, the airline increased its number of flights by 25% over the same period in 2005 – up to 13,354 flights in all.

Cabin factor in June 2006 was at a level of 64%, or 3% points more than in June 2005. During the first six months of 2006 cabin factor was at a level of 60%, or 7% points more than during the same period in 2005.
