New route to Gothenburg

On 29 October, airBaltic will open direct flights from Riga to Sweden's second city and industrial capital, the west-coast city of Gothenburg.

Positioned at the junction of the Skagerrak and Kattegat, Gothenburg links the two halves of northern Europe, looking both eastward into the Baltic and westward across the North Sea. A Viking trading post in medieval times, it is now a bustling business and financial centre, and the centre of night-life and entertainment for the whole of western Sweden.

Flights to Gothenburg will operate with a Fokker-50 aircraft and will depart Riga three times per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The cost of a
one-way ticket will start at LVL 29 (EUR 41).
