New direct flights from Riga were launched to Zurich and Gothenburg, departing three times per week. Looking East, flights from Riga to Tashkent were launched in cooperation with Uzbekistan Airways: they depart once per week. Throughout the winter, airBaltic is also offering flights to the Egyptian resorts of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. The winter timetable also brought in increased flight frequencies on a number of direct routes from Riga. Flights to Berlin now depart twice daily throughout the week, and once on Sundays. Flights from Riga to Tbilisi depart three times weekly. Flights to Stockholm depart three times a day, adding a midday flight to the schedule. Key changes were also made to ticket prices on flights from Riga to Stockholm and Gothenburg. These tickets now start at LVL 20 (EUR 28) one way including airport taxes.
