“Check-in machines such as these are extremely popular in many of the world’s airports. They are simple and easy to use and help passengers save time,” said Jan Lundborg, airBaltic's commercial director. airBaltic is the first airline to offer its passengers the use of computerised check-in kiosks at Riga airport. The airline's passengers can use the automatic check-in machines for flights to countries that do not demand a visa before the flight, and to countries in which visas can be bought at the airport. Passengers using them can check in for direct airBaltic flights, codeshare flights in cooperation with airBaltic and also flights operated by SAS. For now, two airBaltic automatic check-in machines have been set up in the airport. But this is just a first step. The airline has plans to introduce several more machines later on. |
