Save time with new online check-in

airBaltic has introduced a new Internet check-in system. In August, passengers travelling from Riga can use the Internet check-in and from September it will also be available for passengers travelling from Vilnius. In the nearest future it will be available too for those travelling on airBaltic flights to Riga and Vilnius from Western Europe.

Go to www.airbaltic.com and click on “Check-in”. Tap in your booking code and the surnames of the passengers and choose your preferred seats on the aircraft. A boarding card will be generated, which should be printed out and later presented at the boarding gate. At the airport, baggage can be carried to special drop-off points.

Check the Internet in the evening for morning flights or in the morning for same-day evening flights. The online check-in is open until two hours before departure. In an additional feature to be launched later on, it will be possible to get an email saying when the Internet check-in has been opened for your flight.

The online check-in system’s main advantage is that it saves passengers time. Passenger numbers have increased rapidly in recent years due to falling prices, while increased security means they often have to stand in line for hours at airports around the world. While normally you would need to be at the airport up to two hours before a flight, especially in the mornings when many flights depart and the airport is crowded, using the online check-in means that arriving at the airport could be timed to just 30 minutes before the flight, avoiding those nasty check-in queues.

So save your time and avoid lining up by using airBaltic’s fast Internet check-in.
