Riga, 9.01.2008 The Latvian airline airBaltic during the twelve months of 2007 transported a total of 2,007,150 passengers, or 41% more than during the same period in 2006, when the total number of passengers was 1,425,276. In December 2007 airBaltic carried 154,153 passengers, or 39% more than in the same month in 2006, when airBaltic transported 93,442 passengers. In December, airBaltic provided 3,043 flights, or 27% more than the 2,389 flights, which were offered in December 2006. Between January and the end of December, the airline increased its number of flights by 27% over the same period in 2006 – up to 36,804 flights in all. Cabin factor in December 2007 was at a level of 57%. During the twelve months of 2007 cabin factor was at a level of 63%, or 3% points more than during the same period in 2006. In Liepaja airport, airBaltic carried over 30 thousand passengers flying to and from Copenhagen, Hamburg and Riga. Bertolt Flick, President and CEO of airBalticcomments: "For airBaltic, this was the first year of active operations in Liepaja as an international airport and we are very satisfied with the positive results achieved.
