Riga, 11.02.2008 The Latvian airline airBaltic carried 151,395 passengers in January 2008, or 34% more than in the same month in 2007, when airBaltic flew 112,866 passengers. As for flights originating from Riga, the number of passengers in January saw a 37% increase, whereas the market share for Riga grew to 45.8% (or 4.8% growth on a year earlier). In January 2008 airBaltic operated 3,278 flights, or 35% more than in January 2007 when the number of flights reached 2,421. The average cabin factor in January 2007 was 52%. As previously reported, during twelve months of 2007, airBaltic carried a total of 2 007,150 passengers, or 41% more than during the same period in 2006, when the total number of passengers was 1 425,276.
