New routes spring into life

Spring is the perfect time to welcome new arrivals, and in airBaltic’s case, that means no fewer than 13 new places to fly, including the welcome return of two destinations which went into hibernation for the winter.

From March 31 regular flights commence between Riga and the capital of Moldova, Chisinau. Another notable arrival is the widely-anticipated connection between Vilnius and Paris. Riga-Chisinau will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. One-way ticket prices start from EUR 61 (taxes and Internet booking transaction fee included). Vilnius- Paris flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and one-way tickets start from EUR 46.

Another capital city rejoins the line-up from April 1 when the flight between Riga and Athens reopens after a winter break. Flights operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with one-way tickets from EUR 46.

From April 17 new flights between Riga and Nice, Venice, Kuopio, Aalesund, Yerevan and Almaty join the roster. Flights between Riga and Nice, gateway to the French Riviera, will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Riga-Venice flights depart on Mondays and Fridays. One-way ticket prices to both destinations start from EUR 46. The Finnish city of Kuopio becomes accessible from Riga on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, but the Norwegian city of Aalesund - on Thursdays and Sundays. One-way ticket prices to both start from EUR 28. The flights from Riga to the Armenian capital, Yerevan, operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with the return trip possible on Wednesdays, Fridays and Mondays and one-way ticket prices start from EUR 73. Riga-Almaty flights depart on Thursdays and Sundays and come back on Fridays and Mondays, with one-way tickets from EUR 144.

Believe it or not, that’s still not all. On May 1 a new flight links Riga and the Danish city of Billund, operating on Thursdays and Sundays, from EUR 28 one-way. The next day on May 2 another new route launches between Vilnius and Simferopol on the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine. Flights leave on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and one-way tickets start from EUR 46.

Shortly afterwards another new route kicks off on May 7 between Riga and Sochi – the Russian resort hosting the next Winter Olympic games. Flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with one-way tickets from EUR 46.

Finally on June 1 the link between Riga and Simferopol reopens after the winter season, too, and will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Oneway tickets start from EUR 73.

Tickets for all the new flights are already available at www.airbaltic.com. Book early to get the best prices!
