Summer timetable adds frequency to popular routes

Spring is the traditional time for freshening things up, and airBaltic’s timetable is no exception. The start of the summer sees the wraps coming off lots of new routes from Riga to Nice, Venice, Billund, Norrkoping, Aalesund, Kuopio, Chisinau, Sochi, Yerevan and Almaty and from Vilnius to Paris, Odessa and Simferopol.

airBaltic is also increasing flight frequencies on some of the most in-demand routes, including those to Scandinavia. Between Riga and Helsinki it’s now possible to fly 19 times a week – 3 times daily except Saturdays when there is a single morning flight. An additional flight has been added also to the Vilnius-Helsinki route, taking the frequency to 13 times a week – twice a day except Saturdays when there is only a morning flight. Additional frequency has also been added to the Riga – Oulu route, bringing the total up to 4 flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Riga – Stockholm’s links have been upped from 15 to 18 weekly flights, operating 3 times a day except Saturdays when there is only a morning flight. Riga – Gothenburg is up from 4 to 6 flights per week operating daily except Saturdays. Our Copenhagen flight from Riga now operates 3 times a day and from Liepaja once a day. Vilnius – Oslo flights are up from 5 to 6 times a week, operating daily except Saturdays.

As you would expect for the summer season, we’re upping our flights to popular European holiday destinations as well. Now you can fly to Rome from Riga 5 times per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (instead of previous 3 weekly flights). From Vilnius there are 3 flights to the Italian capital on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays (previously 2 flights). Riga – Paris increases from 4 flights a week to a full daily service, Riga – Brussels adds a flight taking it to 8 times a week and features morning flights on all working days with evening flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Vilnius – Barcelona also adds one frequency and now flies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Think that’s enough? Not by a long stretch! Flights to the German cities of Berlin and Hamburg have also been increased. Now there are 18 flights (instead of 13) per week between Riga and Berlin – daily except Sundays in the mornings and daily except Saturdays in midday and in the evening. Vilnius- Berlin adds a flight and is now operating 5 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Riga – Hamburg grows from 6 to 9 flights operating in the mornings on working days and on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays in the evenings. Liepaja – Hamburg is enhanced from 4 flights to a daily service.

There are also more options if you are heading east rather than west. From Riga to Tbilisi we now fly 5 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays (up from 3 flights). Riga is connected with Simferopol and Tel Aviv 4 times a week (instead of 2 last summer). Simferopol flights depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and to Tel Aviv on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, flying back to Riga on the following days. Last but not least, Riga – Istanbul gains one frequency and now operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
