Riga lets you fly between Western Europe and the Caucasus
  
You only need to glance at map to see why Riga makes an ideal transit point between east and west. With our fastflying summer timetable in effect, transit flight possibilities are even better than ever, allowing Riga to be used to connect Western Europe and Scandinavia with major cities of the Caucasus and Central Asia such as Tbilisi, Yerevan, Baku, Tashkent and Almaty. Waiting times in Riga airport do not exceed 3 hours, and in most cases are no more than an hour.

To/from Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, in both directions airBaltic offers good flight connections via Riga with Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Vilnius (flights leaving Tbilisi on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays early mornings and returning on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays) and Hamburg (from Tbilisi on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and back on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays).

To/from Baku one can fly conveniently via Riga to/from Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn (leaving Baku on Mondays and Thursdays early in the morning and returning on Wednesdays and Sundays), London (leaving Baku on Mondays and Thursdays and returning on Wednesdays) and Berlin (leaving Baku on Thursdays and returning on Wednesdays and Sundays).

To/from Almaty in Kazakhstan there are convenient flights via Riga to and from Berlin and Vilnius (leaving Almaty on Mondays and Fridays early in the morning and returning on Thursdays and Sundays), Milan and Rome (leaving on Fridays and returning on Sundays) and London (leaving on Mondays and returning on Thursdays).
