airBaltic Financial Results Reflect Considerable Investments in the Development

In the first half-year of 2008, airBaltic had turnover of LVL 91 million, and the airline experienced a loss of LVL 7.9 million. Operative (EBITDAR) results amounted to LVL 3 million. During the first half-year, the airline transported more than 1.1 million passengers and opened 13 new routes (10 from Riga, 3 from Vilnius), which was an increase of 30%. This year airBaltic plans to open routs to Tampere, Dubai and Amsterdam. Planning these new routes and offering the services requires considerable investments. Our half-year results are in line with forecasts.
