The Latvian airline airBaltic carried 294,354 passengers in August 2008, or 37% more than in the same month in 2007, when airBaltic transported 215,565 passengers.
During the eigtht months of 2008, airBaltic transported a total of 1,696,826 passengers, or 32% more than during the same period in 2007, when the total number of passengers was 1,287,227.
In August, airBaltic operated 4,596 flights, or 30% more than the 3,535 flights of August 2007. Between January and the end of August, the airline increased its number of flights by 33% over the same period in 2007 - up to 31,280 flights in all.
Cabin factor in August 2008 was at a level of 72%. During the eight months of 2008 airline’s cabin factor was at a level of 62%.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 75.2% in August 2008. This means that more than 75 of every 100 airBaltic flights in August departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
