Riga 16.02.2009 The Latvian airline airBaltic will launch its summer season on March 29, 2009, offering new Scandinavian and Baltic destinations. The number of flights on more than 20 popular routes will be increased substantially and flight connections improved to cater for the transit passenger. During the summer of 2009, airBaltic plans to offer three new routes between Riga and Tromso (Norway, 4 times per week), Linkoping (Sweden, 6 times per week), Palanga (Lithuania, 12 times per week). Compared to the summer schedule in 2008, airBaltic will increase the number of flights between Riga and Baku (3 times per week), Barcelona (6 times per week), Bergen (3 times per week), Billund (3 times per week), Brussels (12 times per week), Dusseldorf (6 times per week), Yerevan (3 times per week), Rome (daily), Hamburg (10 times per week), Istanbul (daily), Kaliningrad (daily), Chisinau (daily), Kuopio (4 times per week), London (11 times per week), Oslo (18 times per week, up to 3 times per day), Stavanger (3 times per week), Moscow (twice daily), Tel Aviv (6 times per week), while three destinations will be served up to 7 times per day - Tallinn, Vilnius, Helsinki. A number of destinations (for example, Almaty, Athens, Odessa, Simferopol etc.) will return to airBaltic summer schedule from their winter hybernation.
