airBaltic supports marathons
   
This year again airBaltic is proud to be the official carrier of the Nordea Riga Marathon, a race that takes in the very best of the sights of the Latvian capital. This year’s event takes place on May 23.

The Riga Marathon includes three main races: the full marathon distance of 42 km, a half marathon of 21 km and a minimarathon of 5 km. For more information, go to www.nordearigasmaratons.lv.

For the first time this year airBaltic has also decided to support the Paavo Nurmi Marathon held in Turku on July 3. Turku is the hometown of the famous Finnish athlete Paavo Nurmi who won 9 Olympic Gold Medals. The Paavo Nurmi Marathon also offers three different distances: the full marathon, a half marathon and a 10 km fun run. More information can be found at www.paavonurmisports.fi.

Runners in both marathons will receive BalticMiles membership cards and will have the chance to win free flights and various other prizes. Winners at each distance will be awarded with 100 BalticMiles for each km they completed and airBaltic will donate the same amount of miles from its side to charity.
