Delayed Arrival Warranty

For a fee of only EUR 17 (non-refundable) per passenger per one-way journey, you can purchase a guaranteed double refund of your ticket price (including fare and surcharge) if we deliver you to your final destination more than 1 hour later than promised on your ticket. This Gift voucher then can be used to purchase your next flight at the airBaltic website.

Valid reasons for receiving a Gift voucher exclude bad weather conditions at departure and/or arrival airport (runway is closed), terrorism, war and industrial action (e.g. strike).

If a flight with a Delayed Arrival Warranty is rebooked or there is a schedule change then the warranty is transferred to the new flight except in cases when rebooking is on to another carrier. In this case the warranty will be fully refunded.

Passengers having purchased the Delayed Arrival Warranty service may apply for a Gift voucher by submitting a request to reservations@airbaltic.com within a 21 day period of the original travel date. Requests must be submitted from the same e-mail address which was used for booking the flight ticket. Requests from e-mail addresses other than the one used for booking the flight will not be accepted. All e-mail requests should include the original flight booking Invoice received from airBaltic as an attachment.

Gift voucher will be sent back by e-mail in PDF file format and will include a code which customers will have to enter when booking their next flight with airBaltic. Gift voucher can be used only once. Gift voucher can be used as the sole means of payment or as part payment for a larger total sum. If the Gift voucher’s amount is greater than next booking’s total payment amount, then difference is lost.

If there is more than one passenger per booking, Gift voucher can be issued to the main passenger name on the booking only or as separate Gift vouchers – one for each passenger. Customers must specify what type of Gift voucher is preferred when sending a request – one Gift voucher for the main passenger or separate Gift vouchers for each passenger on the booking. In all cases passengers in whose name a Gift voucher is issued should be one of the passengers when booking the next flight.

Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 3 months since it’s issue date. Flight dates however must be within 12 month period since Gift voucher’s issue date.
