airBaltic Serves 235,601 Passengers in April and Achieves Top Punctuality
Riga. In April 2014, Latvian airline airBaltic carried 235,601 passengers throughout its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. During the first four months of 2014, airBaltic has transported a total of 724,791 passengers.
In April the airline operated 3,869 flights, or 3% less than in the same period of 2013, when 3,990 flights have been operated by airBaltic. During the first four months of 2014 the airline operated 13,174 flights.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in April 2014 was at a level of 69%. During the first four months of 2014, airBaltic load factor was at a level of 64%.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 98.0% in April 2014. This means that more than 98 of every 100 airBaltic flights in April departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
In April, airBaltic, has also achieved the best arrival punctuality indicator among European carriers – 95,86%, which means that 95 out of 100 aircrafts landed on schedule or ahead of schedule. Indicator was derived by FlightStats analysts, who track the performance of nearly 150,000 flights operated and serviced by thousands of airlines and airports globally each day.
