Riga. In May 2014, Latvian airline airBaltic carried 247,295 passengers throughout its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. During the first five months of 2014, airBaltic has transported a total of 972,086 passengers.

In May the airline operated 3,976 flights, or 5% less than in the same period of 2013, when 4,179 flights have been operated by airBaltic. During the first five months of 2014 the airline operated 17,150 flights.

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in May 2014 was at a level of 68%. During the first five months of 2014, airBaltic load factor was at a level of 65%.

The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 95.3% in May 2014. This means that more than 95 of every 100 airBaltic flights in May departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
