Riga, 28.10.2015.

The Latvian airline airBaltic, in collaboration with Latvijas Pasts postal operator, has launched a new service – sending a postcard to someone special from the flight.

Christophe Viatte, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “We are putting every effort in making your journey pleasant, and now airBaltic offers its customers a unique chance to send a postcard written in the aircraft flying at 10 km altitude. This is a great opportunity to surprise your loved ones in the Baltic countries with a CloudCard – yet another addition to our range of romantic offers, which include a bouquet of roses and a bottle of sparkling wine to your loved ones during a flight."

VAS Latvijas Pasts Chairman of the Board Arnis Salnājs: “Postcards are one of the most personal types of communication, and it is always pleasant to receive one. Latvijas Pasts is continuing to expand its range of postcards and, in co-operation with airBaltic, now offers the opportunity to send a postcard from airBaltic aircraft, which is a special experience for many passengers – especially those flying for the first time.”

In order to send the special anniversary postcard, customers are invited to contact the cabin crew, who will hand it over to Latvijas Pasts for delivery to any address in the Baltic countries free of charge.
