Latvian airline airBaltic has been selected as one of the best employers following a nationwide survey carried out by the recruitment agency CV-Online Latvia. For the fourth year in a row, the survey recognises airBaltic as the best employer in the transport and logistics sector. The airline has been consistently named one of the best employers in similar studies over the past ten years.

For the second year running, the Latvian airline airBaltic has been ranked No 1 globally in punctuality by OAG analysts, who tracked the performance of a total of over 50 million flight records. According to OAGairBaltic achieved a punctuality rating of 94.4% for flights linking the Baltics with destinations in Europe, Middle East and Russia/CIS. It means that more than 9 airBaltic aircraft out of 10 arrive on-time. airBaltic is followed in the global TOP 10 ranking by Copa Airlines, Azul, Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Finnair, TAM, Austrian Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, LOT.

The Latvian airline airBaltic has been awarded a Gold medal in ISPY 2016 for the quality of its cabin service. ISPY (Inflight Sales Person of the Year) competition is held annually in the United Kingdom with professionals participating from airlines around the world. Previously airBaltic has won a Silver award in the ISPY 2011 for selling goods with emotional intelligence and best sales techniques.

According to OAG, airBaltic achieved a punctuality rating of rating of 94.9% for flights linking Riga with destinations in Europe, Middle East and Russia/CIS. It means that more than 9 airBaltic aircraft out of 10 arrive on-time. airBaltic is followed in the global ranking by Hawaiian Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Iberia and Norwegian Air Shuttle.

airBaltic has received two Baltic PR Awards: Silver for achievements in international communications and internal communications in 2014. The Baltic PR Awards are an internationally recognised PR competition spanning the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe. The projects which received recognition were the world’s first virtual meal tray introduced by airBaltic, which enables travelers to select their meals ahead of their trip, and a unique internal communications tool which improves management decision making by tapping into the competencies of staff.

airBaltic has received The International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality. The International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality, run by the European Society for Quality Research, honors and recognizes outstanding achievements in quality on an international scale. The International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality presentation ceremony took place on December 2, 2012 in Brussels, Belgium.

Air Transport World, a prominent magazine and the world’s most distinguished presenter of awards for the airline industry, has presented airBaltic with the Phoenix Award in recognition of its operational excellence in product improvement. Bertolt Flick, then-President and CEO of airBaltic: “For us in the airline industry ATW Phoenix Award has the same value as an Oscar award for filmmakers.”

airBaltic has received the Baltic PR Award: Gold for achievements in international communications. Throughout 2010, airBaltic had some 700 media visits, and appeared in 15 000 publications globally. Baltic PR Awards is an annual contest to promote professionalism, effectiveness and high ethical standards within the public relations industry and is the leading annual communication management forum in Northern Europe.

Latvian airline airBaltic was announced Airline of the Year 2009/2010 Gold Award winner by the European Regions Airline Association (ERA). The ERA Airline of the Year Award was introduced in 1991 and has since grown to become the most widely recognised industry award in this sector. It recognizes success and achievement made by a member regional airline, considering the context and specifics of an individual airline’s operating conditions.

Athens International Airport presented its annual awards to the airlines that succeeded in recording the highest increases in passenger numbers during 2009, a very challenging year for the global industry. In category Fastest Growing Airline / Seasonal Routes Award airBaltic received the award for achieving the highest percentage of passenger growth in the summer period of 2009.

euro annies award airBaltic was chosen for the anna.aero ANNIES Award as Europe's largest flag carrier in terms of new routes. In Europe, CIS and the Middle East airBaltic operated 27 routes more in the summer season of 2010 compared to summer 2009. The ANNIE award was based on a comparison of schedule data for August 2010 and August 2009 of airlines operating scheduled flights.
budgie award Latvian national airline airBaltic was handed a special award from the Jury of the Budgies World Low Cost Airline Awards, recognising the achievements of airBaltic as a hybrid airline. The panel of international judges in the jury acknowledged airBaltic’s achievements and observed that the carrier sets trends in the world’s airline industry.
