Flight Dispatch Division

Flight Dispatchers and Flight Operations Coordinators are responsible for operational control of day to day flight operations. Flight Dispatchers prepare flight plans, analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight, analyze airports conditions, amount of fuel required, etc. As well as select the most desirable and economic routes of flights and if required obtain overflying permissions. Flight Operations Coordinators coordinate matters relating to the execution of the daily traffic program and during irregular operations, implement flight delays when conditions warrant, recommend flight cancellations, and initiate alternative plans. Flight Dispatchers and Flight Operations Coordinators are part of the Operational Control Center (OCC) whose principal duty is the 24/7 supervision of the 130-150 airBaltic flights worldwide.
