On April 26, 2017 during the Latvian airline’s airBaltic shareholders meeting a new supervisory board was elected and Lars Thuesen replaced the previous airBaltic supervisory board member Ralf-Dieter Montag-Girmes.

During the shareholders meeting three previous members of the supervisory board were re-elected – Nikolajs Sigurds Bulmanis, Kaspars Briškens, Kaspars Āboliņš and one new member – Lars Thuesen – was elected. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board will be elected at the first meeting of the new supervisory board.
