Online check-in

When does online check-in open?

Online check-in opens 5 days (118 hours) before the scheduled departure. The online check-in deadline corresponds to the check-in deadline at the respective airport. The service is free of charge.

To check in for your flight, please proceed to Online check-in.

May I check in for the outbound and return flight at once?

Online check-in for both the outbound and return flights at once is available if there are fewer than 118 hours until the scheduled departure of the return flight at the moment of check-in, and both flights are operated by airBaltic.

Which passenger groups are not eligible to use online check-in?

  • passengers who have requested special assistance, service or any kind of medical assistance to be provided (e.g. wheelchair);
  • passengers with an extra seat in the cabin (either for baggage, a baby basket, carrycot or other purposes);
  • passengers transporting a pet;
  • passengers using the unaccompanied minor service;
  • passengers travelling from destinations where online check-in is unavailable;
  • passengers on charter flights;
  • passengers transporting a cello;
  • passengers with an identical name and surname in one booking;
  • passengers transporting weapons.

    We invite these passengers to check in at the airport free of charge.

How will I get my boarding pass?

Upon checking in for your flight successfully, you can open the boarding pass and save it to your computer, or send it to your inbox by providing your e-mail address in the respective field.

The boarding pass must be printed out in PDF format, as HTML and similar formats are not accepted; you will need to present a printed boarding pass at the security check and the gate.

We invite smartphone users to use the QR code or PassBook/PassWallet boarding pass instead of a printed boarding pass.

What to do if I have not received my boarding pass or cannot access it?

If you have checked in online, you may always print the boarding pass at the check-in table at the airport free of charge. Please pay attention to the check-in deadlines.

Is there a charge for seat selection?

If you do not select a specific seat during check-in, the system will automatically assign you a seat free of charge.

Mobile check-in

Can I check in for a flight on a mobile device?

Yes. Any mobile device with an active internet connection (3G, 4G, Wi-Fi) is suitable for mobile check-in.

Online check-in opens 5 days (120 hours) before the scheduled departure. The online check-in deadline corresponds to the check-in deadline at the respective airport. The service is free of charge.

How will I get my boarding pass?

Upon checking in for your flight, you can open the boarding pass and save it to your mobile device, or send it to your inbox by providing your e-mail address in the respective field.

If a mobile boarding pass is available for your flight, you can use the QR code or the PassBook/PassWallet boarding pass instead of a printed one. Please note that the screen of your mobile device must be able to display a full-size QR code.

What is the mobile boarding pass (QR code)?

The QR code is a 2D barcode image (JPG) containing passenger and flight information. It can also be saved on your device as an image (JPG), so that there is no need for internet connection during the security check or at the gate. The mobile device must be able to display a full-size QR code.

How to open the boarding pass in PassBook or PassWallet?

You can add the boarding pass to the PassBook or PassWallet application from the check-in confirmation step or send it to your e-mail address to open it in the app at a later time.

May I use the attached PDF on my mobile device?

The PDF boarding pass is suitable for use in a printed format only; it cannot be used on a mobile device.

May I print out the mobile boarding pass?

The mobile boarding pass is suitable for use on your mobile device only. If you wish to have a printed boarding pass, please use the attached PDF document or check in at the airport.
