High Passenger Demand for airBaltic’s Flights to Abu Dhabi

Riga. The Latvian airline airBaltic in cooperation with Etihad Airways will launch a direct service between Riga and Abu Dhabi on October 29, 2017. So far passengers have made over 9 000 bookings on this connection.

airBaltic Carries 500 000 Passengers on Bombardier CS300

Riga. The Latvian airline airBaltic has carried over 500 000 passengers on the brand new CS300 aircraft and now every fourth passenger of airBaltic is flying CS300. In total airBaltic has flown to 40 destinations in the Baltics, Europe, Scandinavia, CIS and the Middle East with the Bombardier CS300 aircraft.

airBaltic – the Regional Airline of the Year – Receives Award by CAPA

Riga. The Latvian airline airBaltic has received CAPA Regional Airline of the Year award. CAPA Aviation Awards for Excellence is held annually since 2002 with professionals participating from airlines around the world.

In the First Autumn Month airBaltic Carries a Record Number of Passengers

Riga. In September 2017, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 342 645 passengers or 24% more than in the same period of 2016. For already the fourth month in a row it has been the biggest number of transported passengers in the airline’s history. During the first nine months of 2017, airBaltic has transported a total of 2 688 016 passengers to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.

airBaltic Celebrates 22 Years in the Air

Riga. The Latvian airline airBaltic in October, 2017 celebrates its 22nd anniversary since the launch of commercial operations. On October 1, 1995 airBaltic operated the first commercial flight from Riga to Stockholm with the aircraft SAAB 340.

Riga. The Latvian airline airBaltic has received 3rd place in the Latvian brand perception research “Most beloved brand TOP” category “Top employer”. airBaltic is also recognized as the most beloved airline brand in Latvia.

airBaltic Crew Goes Green With iPads

Riga. The Latvian airline airBaltic has introduced Apple iPads to replace paper manuals and forms used by the cabin crew as a modernization investment, which will provide increased operational efficiency and will lead to considerable savings on paper consumption.

 

airBaltic Performs 14 324 Flights During Three Summer Months

Riga. In August 2017, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 386 597 passengers or 21% more than in the same period of 2016. For already the third month in a row it has been the biggest number of transported passengers in the airline’s history. During the first eight months of 2017, airBaltic has transported a total of 2 345 371 passengers to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.

airBaltic Will Fly to Liepaja Also During Winter

Riga. Latvian airline airBaltic has made a decision to continue its domestic flights connecting Riga and Liepaja also during the winter season. The decision will allow the city to remain available for visitors from more than 60 airBaltic destinations in Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East and the CIS.

airBaltic Continues its Summer of Records

Riga. Provisional data show that in August 2017, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried more than 380 000 passengers or roughly 20% more than in the same period of 2016. For the third month in a row it has been the biggest number of transported passengers in the airline’s history. During the three summer months, airBaltic has transported a total of more than 1 150 000 passengers to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
