• Products can only be purchased on board and are handed over to the passenger right after the purchase.
• All prices are in EUR and include VAT where applicable. Prices may be changed without prior notice.
• Please note that product offer can differ depending on your selected route or duration of the flight. Availability of products on some flights may be limited due to operational reasons, limited space onboard, other restrictions and irregularities, or may be already sold out.
• Only cards with an embedded chips are accepted for the payments.
• For payments exceeding EUR 50, passenger ID must be provided. A purchase with a single card may not exceed EUR 250 and total payment by cards per one passenger may not exceed EUR 500.
• Transaction fees and foreign exchange rates, if applicable, are set by card issuer and are not charged by airBaltic.
• The “Save %” feature is based on the supplier’s recommended average retail price on the local market. This calculation is performed by the supplier and subsequently provided to airBaltic.
• It is strictly prohibited to sell, purchase or give alcohol and tobacco products to the underage persons (persons younger than 18 years old).
• It is strictly prohibited to use narcotics, consume alcoholic beverages brought on board of the aircraft, or smoke any type of cigarette, including electronic cigarettes.
• All pictures of products and packaging are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the real product.
• The cabin crew has been instructed not to open the sealed packaging of products offered for sale on board.
• All products come with a 2-year warranty when a purchase receipt is provided, according to the manufacturer’s warranty obligations.
• Refunds are applied in situations when there are obvious and objective reasons only (e.g. purchased product appears to be defective). If there is no product to replace the defective one with, purchase cancellation and return receipts should be printed out by the cabin crew, statement form should be filled in and signed by the passenger, product should be returned to the catering company. If some circumstances prevent to perform these steps on board, confirmation for return statement form should be filled in by the cabin crew and the passenger and later along with the receipt should be sent by the passenger to Airo Catering Services Latvija SIA via info@airo.lv.
• For any suggestions on the product selection, passengers are welcomed to write to info@airo.lv.
• While purchasing a flight ticket and accepting airBaltic Terms of Passenger Carriage, passengers agreed to obey acknowledged standards of polite behavior. In case the behavior does not comply with these rules, airBaltic will take any and all necessary actions to stop such behavior.
• These terms and conditions where prepared and should be applied or interpreted according to the legal acts in force in Republic of Latvia.

In the context of on-board sales, personal data of passengers (including sales data, flight data and payment data) is processed and, where necessary, transmitted to IT service providers, payment service provider, Air Baltic Corporation AS as cooperation partner.

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• execution of the transaction (order processing);
• compliance with legal obligations;
• prevention and detection of fraudulent or criminal activities;
• protection of legitimate interests, including the establishment, exercise and defence of legal claims (claim recovery and dispute resolution).

The legal bases for processing are:

• Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – processing is necessary for the performance of a contract;
• Article 6(1) (c ) GDPR – processing is necessary for compliance with legal obligations, including accounting requirements under applicable laws;
• Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests, namely fraud prevention and the protection of legal claims.

Buyer identification is carried out only in specific situations where it is necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purposes, including in cases specified in these terms and conditions (for example, in higher-value transactions or where required to verify compliance with applicable restrictions, such as the sale of age-restricted goods); in such situations, the passenger may be requested to present a valid personal identification document, and where the transaction amount exceeds EUR 50 the following personal data may be recorded as a part of buyer identification process: name, surname and date of birth, which becomes part of the payment information and supporting accounting documentation.

Personal data collected for identification purposes is processed in accordance with the principle of data minimisation and is retained for 5 years in accordance with the Accounting Law of the Republic of Latvia as it forms part of accounting records and payment documentation.

In cases where, for any reason, payment for goods already delivered to the passenger has not been completed, the seller, in cooperation with Air Baltic Corporation AS, has the right to contact the passenger using the available personal data, requesting payment. If the passenger refuses to make the payment and the goods have already been handed over, the seller reserves the right to pursue recovery of the outstanding amount in accordance with applicable legal procedures.

Personal data is not processed or shared for purposes other than those specified above, unless required or allowed by applicable law.

Providing personal data, where required to execute the transaction, including to verify compliance with these terms and conditions (which form part of the transaction rules), is necessary for the completion of the purchase; failure to provide such data may result in the inability to complete the transaction.

Data subjects have the right to access, rectify or erase their personal data, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).

No automated decision-making, including profiling, is carried out. Personal data is not  transferred outside European Union or European Economic Area (EEA).
