Airplane accessibility

During the flight

At airBaltic, we want everyone to feel comfortable and safe when flying with us. That’s why our fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft includes a range of features to make air travel more accessible for passengers with reduced mobility or different needs.

  • Movable armrests on all seats
All seats on our aircraft have armrests that can be lifted, except for those in the first row. This helps passengers who need a little more room to sit comfortably or makes it easier to transfer from a wheelchair.

  • Aisle wheelchair available
We provide a special wheelchair on board so you can move from your seat to the lavatory.

  • Large cargo door
Our cargo door is 84 cm width x 117 cm high – big enough to fit most types of wheelchairs and mobility devices.

Restrictions on the carriage of mobility equipment: wheelchair transportation is assessed on an individual basis, and we kindly ask passengers to provide us with information about the weight and dimensions in advance so that we can review it.

  • Stairs or alternative boarding options: Some airports use stairs for boarding and exiting. In these cases, elevators or chair lifts are available to assist passengers with reduced mobility.
